What is Mongoose Mindset?

Mongoose Mindset is a brand that is prided on motivating the continous inprovement of everyone in the world. Whether that is in physical, mental, or any goals, dreams, or aspirations you have in life.

Why A Mongoose?

The Mongoose is an animal that at first glance it may not look that “cool.” Some may say it just basically looks like a squirrel. However, the Mongoose is a very disciplined and adaptive animal. It’s main source of food is a King Cobra. There are many videos online that show these two animals go to battle and the Mongoose always comes out on top because of it’s relentless determination and instincts to survive. This is why I chose it as the Brand’s Mascot because it knows what it needs to do to survive in it’s environment and it acts on those essential needs with relentless discipline. It has also over the hundreds of thousands of years of evolution adapted to not only fight the King Cobra. As well as develop a resistance to the King Cobra’s venom. To put that aspect back into the brand, we should not only just act now but as well as evolve throughout time as we learn our bodies and implement diet, training, health, and lifestyle strategies. So we can perform better in the gym but as well as our day to day lives. That is why our slogan/call to action is: “Act Now, Evolve Forever”

Who Am I?

Hello! My name is Luke McLeod!

From the time of 12 years old up until now I have basically dedicated my life to fitness and health.

I have done many things and have had many unique and life changing experiences. I started my fitness journey at the age of 12 years when I became obsessed with the idea of becoming a Navy SEAL. I trained and dieted not knowing the proper way of doing it and ultimately developed Anorexia Nervosa at 12 years old. I was put into a in-person treatment facility over a hundred miles away from my home. I realized in that facility I had to change and get out of the situation I was in because ultimately I was still unhappy with my physique and the life I was living. After getting out of treatment I was slowly introduced back into a somewhat normal life. Although some bad thoughts never go away. I hated how skinny I was and the very poor confidence I had. I started lifting weights at 16 years old and fell in love with the lifestyle. Over the next years I competed in multiple powerlifting competitions and after high school moved to Louisville, Kentucky to train and ultimately become a Professional Wrestler. While I was there I realized that wrestling was not my true passion and I wanted to give my all to the progression of my physique and the lifestyle of Bodybuilding. So I moved back to Virginia where I have been furthering my education with community college classes in Health Sciences as well as other Electric Engineering Careers. Most of all I have been continuously trying to progress and improve my body, my mind, and my overall quality of life so I can be happier. I created Mongoose Mindset to help young men who are struggling with an eating disorder, body dysmorphia, or other issues that degrade their happiness and quality of life. As well as create a community where we encourage the actions that we need to do to accomplish our goals and continuously evolve to become better athletes and human beings.

Why Me?

Doctors and Health Professionals have gone to school for many years to be able to practice medicine. However, when it comes to eating disorders none of them have went through that experience personally and cannot relate to how someone with that is feeling. So that is why if struggling with these issues let me help you and guide you with the personal experience and knowledge that I have accumulated over 10 years of learning and developing my own body and mind. So you don’t have to go through the same pain and make the same mistakes that I have had to go through in my journey.
